Faith That Saves
Brother Wilson emphasized that saving faith involves three key elements - conviction of the mind, trust of the heart, and surrender of the will. Faith begins as the mind is convinced through considering the abundant evidence for Christ found in His signs and the Old Testament prophecies. With intellectual conviction established, the heart can then place full trust in Jesus' perfect character and demonstrated ability to save. Finally, having both conviction and trust, faith reaches its culmination in a decision to obey God fully through baptism. One's faith finds its completion in total surrender to Christ's commands.
